whos the boss

its 15 to 4 on a sunday afternoon, junior is in his swinging thingy shooting ZZZs, THE WIFE is having her nap and i am just hacking away on the computer... bliss is a quiet hour, a mug of coffee, in a birthday suit and nothing to do... and oh, no screaming babies helps... a lot....
junior is apporaching his first birthday... time flies when you are having fun, the nappy change, the midnite feed, the "i cry just because i want to".... hours of fun really... basically junior cant do wrong... whatever he does, someone would always says, hes a baby what, thats what baby does.... but as far as i know, the only people who are always right and if they done wrong, its your fault are the bosses.....

junior is starting to be a little terror... put him in his walker, and before you know it, he would be up to some no good... sort of like an instant trouble maker... just add walker, turn around for three minutes... and this happens.... so far he hasnt broken anything... yet... but we are not taking any chances... we are having all the plastic wares at the top, so even if he gets his cute little starfish like fingers on the plates or bowls, he wont break anything... at least thats what we hope...........

junior is also going around biting people... so far, his favorite target? his grandma, his grandpa, his cousin issac, his aunt and uncle, THE WIFE and yours truly.... but truth be told, junior is a fussy biter... he dosent bite indiscriminately... he only bite those he knows well... and if he feels that you are up to his standard, he will bestow upon you his mark... amazing what two little front teeth can do... he would chomp down hard shake his head a little for that extra impact... he had his two front teeth for over a month now, no sign of the rest of the pearly white gang... i guess what he wants for christmas is not his two front teeth but for the rest of his teeth.... hmmm.......

theres nothing more dangerous then a beautiful person, who knows he is beautiful and knows how to use it to his advantage... a little terror as he may be, all he has to do when he gets into trouble and THE WIFE is raising her voice and swing her finger in his face, is to wrinkle up his cute little nose, and flash his million dollar smile... potent isnt it? hmmm......

daddy cheap skates

its 5 to 1 on a sunday afternoon.... THE WIFE is feeding junior his cereal in front of the telly with csi on... i am drinking coffee in front of the computer with some music on... how i love sunday afternoons...

we were at the docs a couple of saturdays back... junior is getting his pneumococcal shots... number two out of three... we were there at 11.30 for an 11.00 appointment.. there was quite a few babies there that day... i never noticed how much junior had grown until i get to compare him with other babies... technically junior is not a newborn anymore... i know because theres a few newborns there and junior is way bigger than them... we did the weigh in and the height measurements... junior is slightly over nine kgs and about 70 cm... it wasnt long before we were called into the docs office...

doc: hello... what can i do for you today?
THE WIFE: we are here for his shot
doc: right.... let me do some check up on him... my, he can sit up quite well.. he seems fine... is he on solids already?
THE WIFE: yah, we are feeding him cereals and porridge and some fruits...
doc: good... you can increase his solids.. up to two times a day... you can also try to feed him some meat... chicken, fish... should be alright.... okay, daddy, put him on the table... todays shot might give him a fever, just watch out for it...
me: okay....

the whole thing was over in a minute... junior was crying his lungs out when the doc prick him on his little thigh

doc: right, i will see you when he turns one...
THE WIFE: okay, thank you...

on the way out at the cashier...

me: you got any milk formula samples?
cashier lady: what formula is he on?
me: friso gold, number 2
cashier lady: ive only got number 1, fresh out of number 2
me: thats all right, a milk formula is a milk formula, 1 or 2, not much difference... right?
cashier lady: hmm... yah...
me: you got any cereal samples as well?
cashier lady: hmmm... yah..... here take all these...
me: cool... thanks....

although the shot and the consultation fees cost me 200 bucks, i reckon i saved $24 on the milk formula and a couple more dollars on the cereals.... i am proud to say that junior has been on cereals for a couple of months now and i havent spend a single cent on cereals... daddy cheap skate strikes again....
