blue black

its 10 minutes to midnight on 9th august.... THE WIFE is breast feeding junior and i am just hacking away at the computer.... we just came back from the new jacky chan chris tucker movie, rush hour 3.... funny movie... THE WIFE and i are sort of making up for lost movie time, we caught two movies in two weeks... before junior came along, we were catching movies every other week, nowadays its every other month.... i am crossing my finger that every other year never comes.....

junior did something amazing today.... well two things actually.... one, he could get out of the bamboo kiddy chair... well... fall out actually.... junior and i were watching some tv... actually i was watching tv, junior was just watching me... playing with his toys and getting restless... i was channel surfing when he managed to get one leg out of the kiddy chair..... lean over and before i know it, tumbled head first onto the floor... i picked him up before he busted into tears.... now he got a 50 cent blue black on the right side of his forehead... his first bruise.... he cried a little, we carried him a little, before we know it, he was back playing with his toys again.....

two... he can climb stairs... crawl actually... two whole flights of it.... makes daddy proud.... he crawls one step, turns around to make sure that you are looking at him, crawl up another step, turn around again, crawl up the third and looked around... he does the up one step, look behind routine till he reaches the top... i guess it wont be long till he starts to walk and run and ask me for my car keys... hmmmm..... they grow up so fast.....

junior is getting pretty good at his walker, he is able to zip around the house fast.. when he is up to no good and i walk in on him, he would run away as if he is the robber running away from cops.... his best stunt so far, whenever i open the refrigerator, he would rush like crazy from one end of the house and slide into the kitchen, like kramer in sinfield.... he would run over my feet, push himself right in between me and the fridge and grab whatever he can get his little hands on.... he seems to understand that most nice stuffs like ice creams, chocolates and cakes are kept in the fridge.... and when i push him back, close the fridge and say no more, he would point to the fridge and give me the look.... hmmm... like father like son i guess....

dadada-dididi

its 1 minute pass 11 on a saturday morning.... THE WIFE is giving junior a bath and i am just staring out at the open field while looking at the screen, one hand on the coffee cup, the other on the keyboard... chewing something in me mouth, while listening to something on the internet.... who says men cant multi task?.... THE WIFE and i are gonna catch the new simpson movie today, its been a while since we last caught a movie... should be good... and as for junior, we are gonna leave him with the in laws... junior seems to like to hang out with them, grandpa loves to carry junior around and talk to him, grandma loves to make faces which cracks him up...

junior is pushing nine months... and in these past few weeks, he is starting to develop a personality.... he is able to point at things that he wants and throws a mean temptrum when he doesnt get it... be all smiley and laughing when he is with familiar people and suddenly wails when someone he is unfamiliar with tries to carry him... he is starting to crawl all over the house, picks up stuffs and puts them into his mouth and with his to front teeth coming in nicely, he can sure bite... hard... he does that all the time to his cousin Issac... Issac is a nice enough fella to not hit back... although if he is pushed far enough, this happens.... and i swear, just seconds before Issac pushed him, junior was tugging on his hair and screaming into his ears....

junior has moved on from his baby cradle chair thingy, which i can carry around on me arm like a fruit basket, to this child seat thingy which permanently takes up a space in the back.... he seems to like to be able to sit up and enjoy the view when we go driving... we hanged all sorts of toys to keep him occupied, the back seat is starting to look like a play corner... although he prefers it better when THE WIFE carries him on her lap where he can wiggle about and try to stand and look out the window at passing cars, push the buttons on the doors and tug at her hair and basically be free... i guess its much more safer to buckle him in in his seat

junior is at the perfect age right now.... he is old enough to sit up and play with his own toys, is able to only say dadada and dididi, is distracted easily and most important of all, is unable to go around telling people what he sees at home...... which means i can go around the house in me birthday suit and basically live just as i did before he came along.... i know these days are numbered though, i guess in a few months time, when junior starts to get around on his own, picks up a few words and is able to point and stare, i cant use the toilet with the door open anymore... hmmmm.....
